Medical equipment training for clinical and biomedical staff

Service calls often trace back to how a device was used. Good training prevents them.

NEO provides practical, device-specific training for the people who use and look after your equipment: clinical operators, unit educators and in-house biomedical or facilities staff. Training is delivered on site in Toronto, the Greater Toronto Area and elsewhere in Canada, on your own equipment wherever possible.

Operator training covers correct set-up, daily checks, cleaning, alarms and what to do when something goes wrong — the habits that keep a device in service and reduce avoidable faults. Training for in-house technical staff goes further into routine checks and first-line troubleshooting, following the manufacturer’s documentation.

Training often follows a new installation, but it is just as useful when staff change or when repeated faults point to a usage problem. Attendance and the topics covered are documented for your education and accreditation records.

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Assess

We agree the devices, the audience and what they need to be able to do afterwards.

  2. Step 2

    Train

Hands-on sessions on your equipment, in your clinical area where practical.

  3. Step 3

    Record

Attendance and topics are recorded so you can show who was trained on what.

Questions

Who is the training for?
Clinical operators and educators, and in-house biomedical or facilities staff who look after the equipment.
Can training follow a new installation?
Yes. Training is often scheduled as part of commissioning so staff are ready on the first day of clinical use.
Is training specific to our devices?
Yes. Sessions are built around your equipment and the manufacturer’s documentation, not a generic course.
